As a hunter myself, I say you only hunt what you are going to eat and kill only for protection. There are already too few lions and soon will be endangered.(note newsweek aug 04 issue)I myself hunt with bow or black powder,so you only get one shot. This more of a challenge. And by the way people have been herding cattle over there for thousands of years and rarely have problems with predators, their problems are mostly drought, enough grasslands and diease. This I know first hand has I have spent considerable time in Africa.

What the dumbasses here don't realize is that hunters pay the host country a large fee for the right to hunt certain animals in that country. The host country then uses the money to care for the herds, allowing for the animals to remain in the wild, protected from poachers. Without that money, many of the herds would be decimated by poaching and/or overpopulation. It`s basically the same principle as in this country. People who purchase hunting and fishing licenses contribute more towards maintaining healthy wild animal populations than most of the idiotic bunny-hugging, pansy-ass liberals put together.
