@Oystah- Sizes back then were larger. A size 16= about a size 4 today.
@PsychGeek- She wasn't fat at all. She was 36-22-36, which is what most of today`s actresses are or are close to. People tend to think of her in her "heavy" years and think she was always like that. But she got a lot of criticism for the weight gain, just like an actress today would. All in all, however, she was no "meatier" than most stars these days, she just gets pushed that way.

@Raokin - I think you misunderstood my comment. I don't think she was fat at all. It wasn`t about her at all, it was about a size 16.
I`m saying does an American size 16 today equal a 38 inch waist? And if so, that is fat.
