Royal Engagement Photo: William & Catherine [Pic]. I-A-B, what do you think? Does the UK`s royal hierarchy have a place in today`s world? Should it be kept? Banished?

I found it quite odd when visited England, back in 2005, that people kept asking me if I thought they should "get rid" of the royal family and the parliamentary monarchy system. It was awkward to me because of the impressive number of people that defend the creation of monarchies in republic countries in order to save a huge part of the taxes money. Here in Brazil, to give an example of these efforts, there are two families claiming to be the royal one and, because of that, are able to receive some landing duties that should actually be paid to the Republic (and that's completely legal here, despite our rejection to the monarchism back in the late `80s).
