No refute? I expected as much. Thanks for the petty insult though, it comforts me to know that you felt threatened enough to fall back on such childish behavior before your retreat

"Which would you prefer? To have the government give you socialized healthcare at no cost or minimal cost to you? or That you made enough money you could pay for your own healthcare? Nothing is Free."
As long as every working person gets good healthcare, where they are not denied treatment, I'll be happy. I don`t care how they do it.
Switzerland has good healthcare. France has good healthcare. Either way they accomplish it, by making laws to increase wages so more people can afford healthcare or making free healthcare policy, people will need to get on our governments butt or they won`t do it right.

"Bored, nice thoughts and I understand where you are coming from. But business doesn't operate on a loss."
And that is exactly what I would count on. For it to be more profitable to keep a good or a service at its current price than to raise it in reaction to a small tax increase and risk losing business/profit.
Honestly, and I would have to do some research to back this up, but from observation I don`t believe that many large companies even base their prices so much on what they pay out in costs as much as what they can get for an item or a service. For example Wallmart isn`t going to sell a shirt for $5 if they know they can get $10 for it regardless of whether a shirt cost $1 or $2 for them to buy, transport, and sell that shirt. So if they are putting something at it`s max price point already or what they believe people are able or willing to pay for an item they may decide that increaing an items price by 50 cents might just not be worth it.

All costs, including tax which is a cost is factored in and then a profit is added. Without that profit above cost business would go out of business. No matter how small the tax.
I am not against removing tax loop holes etc. But again when you raise a tax on a business we pay the increase of that tax to that business if we are a customer. It is pretty simple really.
Our lib friends use business and the rich as class warfare to enlist the votes of the poorer of us (which there are more including myself) to vote them into power. Not all business people or owners are bad, just as not all people are bad.
