My brother is a Detective Sgt. with the Serious Crime Squad and those guys are totally by the book. Not because they are nice, but because you don't spend hundreds of man hours taking someone down only to have the case binned because some idiot couldn`t keep his hands to himself or thought he could `improve` the case. Serious coppers are pissed of by jerks like this just as much as the rest of us. Having said that, there are a lot of these jerks around at the lower levels of policing.
