was his back smoldering after the jump? I saw steam.


I think a combination of very warm skin (some heat from the fire would have got through), very high moisture content and cold air.

If his back was smouldering then (a) it wouldn't steam (b) he`d be in agony, which would have some effect on him and (c) he`d be having medical treatment, not a hug.
