Making Holograms Using an iPad. What will they think of next? (Also, think about what this is going to do for the porn, um, we mean the movie industry.)

""its fake... they make it seem like you are creating a hologram by simply sliding your ipad across the room and then a hologram will just appear... its not possible... a hologram needs a power source and when you take the ipad away it would disapear (if it were even real) and the pictures we see are totally photoshopped... at 1:10 its SOOOOO fake"
He said it's a long exposure. It isn`t a "hologram"."
well the effin title says, "making holograms" doesnt it

Wow, this has had a kind of crappy reception.
The idea is really quite original, I've been specialising in photography and computer animation for the last 5 years and I haven`t seen this implemented before.
Granted the video was a little slow, and it would probably benefit if they were to focus more on characters than so many shots of the words, but it`s cool and it`s creative.

@eybulldog5 Although i don't know why a hologram should need a power source you are right that this can`t be defined as a hologram. The Ipad itself doesn`t create the end image it`s only a piece of the process and can only reproduce the end result if you play it as a movie on the Ipad. This is just lightpainting v2.0. Nonetheless it is a nicely executed idea.
