Davymid/Fabarati - don't know if the Iranian drivers were the same as the Jordanese - but one +ve thing I did notice was an absolute lack of road rage. Once you got with the chaos it wasn`t so bad... except of course for the high risk of death. Saw the aftermath of a number of fatals during a weeks driving.

Iran has more - much more - than its share of terrible drivers as well. Standard practice on motorways is to drive between lane. So if there are 4 lanes drawn, there are 7 lanes of cars. Feel your pain fabarati, been to Iran several times (Tehran, Qom, Esfahan). Lane marking are entirely optional. Best I can tell, "Luxury Cars" are those that still have wing-mirrors...
