Forgot to say...if you download something called WinPatrol, it shows you programs that are running, programs that are added to the startup menu, IE helpers, etc. It doesn't delete spyware, but it alerts you when your computer settings are changed or new programs are added to the startup list. It also alerts you when your homepage is changed and gives you the option to switch it back automatically. Very helpful.

The most dangerous type would be a keylogger, but those are pretty rare. In the thousands - seriously, thousands - of spyware-type items I've removed from our two computers, we`ve never had a keylogger.

it records what programs you use and stuff. plus... it could be collecting info u don't know about. Besides a privacy breech, spyware slows your computer and uses up disk space and memory. Also causes a lot of crashes and hijacked browsers. But... i dont think this is spyware

I think if someone was spyware-ing and stealing this info... well.

Hacker: OMG AKITO CLICKED 400 TIMES TODAY

Hacker2: OMG ALERT THE MEDIA

...Doesn't seem like that vital of information.
