After we married, there was a time that I received calls from three temp jobs at the same time, all of which, I accepted. For about 2 weeks, I slept all of two hours a day, 05:00 to 07:00 which gave me just enough time to shower.
Things improved from there when I took another temp-to-perm job in a thread-rolling plant making truck lugs. That place folded just as I left but, the next job was what lead to my becoming a software engineer.
All the while I was typing this, I was hearing the opening to 'Raising Arizona` in my head...

Jesus-f@cking-Lizard!!! If you are going anywhere to RECYCLE a cigarette, don't you even think "I`m pretty low with this, aren`t I? Perhaps I should just never do this again."
I thought I had it bad. Starting out, I drove cab. I had some good days and some "$26 days," also. I repaired cars. Whenever I didn`t have work, I would troll the neighborhoods for scrap metal including whole cars.
She wanted to be married but I`m not Christian. The compromise was that we were married outside of the JOP in Toledo on October 16th, `95.
A preacher was waiting outside, under a crab-apple tree. I gave him $35, my last except for the $5 I kept for fuel on the way back to Detroit. The next day, we went back to work. I was a window washer and she was a house cleaner.
