Proof Tik Tok & California Gurls Are The Same Song. More proof that Katy Perry and Ke$ha are creatively bankrupt? Their hit songs are pretty much exactly the same song.

Both these songs are decent. This mash-up sounds like somebody is drilling into my eardrums to replace them with liquid pain. I don't care if they`re the same - I still like them. They aren`t musical gold, but they`re enjoyable.

"Producer often do this. They steal songs all the time and just change a few notes here or there, because they know people will buy it up by the truckloads."
Even furthermore, both songs in question were produced by the same person. All he did was rip off himself.
The actual artists really have little to do with it. All they do is basically show up and sing the song.

Pretty much all pop songs have the same chord progression. It's not that they`re the same song so much as that they all use the same three or four chords. Music is funny like that. You could do this same thing with any two pop songs and it would work. It`s not exclusive to pop either; just about every punk rock, hard rock and heavy metal song is some variation of E5, C5, D5, G5 and most are in either Em or Dm.

California Gurls is a friggin' annoying song. I typically like cheap pop songs, but California Gurls just bugs me. I think it`s Katy Perry`s voice because I hated that Kissed a Girl song too. I actually prefer Tik Tok.
