A few points. -Oh dear. A few pelicans amidst the hundreds of thousands of other pelicans. -This is still only half as big as the Exxon Valdez. -Stop using this for you political agenda. Accident happen and it's not a big deal as long as the person takes responsibility for it. This counts towards those bailouts! -Rather than freezing assets (I don`t see where that would actually get anyone), BP is just to be liable for all damages done. You break it, you buy it.

Hey Madest, I'm man enough to admit I was wrong. This is a massive clusterf*ck. I (wrongly) assumed they were going to be able to plug this at the first attempt, many weeks ago.

There's no argument against the fact that we are dependant on oil. Fact is there`s been a big $%£& up and it needs to be sorted asap. There`s nothing we can do about the dead men and dead birds, its now about fixing the oil spill, avoiding further leakage, helping out the wildlife thats been hurt and seriously think about converting to other power sources.
Not that it matters, an Iranian nuke will kill us all first anyway.

Yeah the oil just hit the beach where I live. I'll be one of the volunteers working to clean it up and assist the wildlife.
