First of all, the government does know more than you. The state has a huge variety of scientists working for it, and funds for all kinds of research. You`re just one man. No matter how much you`d like to believe that you`re smarter than everyone else, you`re not. If the state tells you that something is bad for you, they are likely to be right. More likely than you, anyway. "Driving defensively" is also the most ridiculous thing I`ve ever heard. Your refusal to wear seatbelts is nothing more than a tantrum.
