Hmm, your deductions regarding the falsified nature of this scene are astoundingly accurate. Where did you obtain such acute observation skills?

Is it just me, or does that look kind of set up, and the 'chef`/operator not look very convincing, almost like he`s intentionally dramatically dressed up for, ya know, a photo or something? And while I`m not sure what opium dens looked like, the area looks awfully nice especially when that sofa wouldn`t last long with people nodding out and dropping stuff all over it.
Also, that looks like a conveniently dramatic position for someone to pass out in, looking more like someone shot her than that she got high and nodded off...pipe falling perfectly right next to her right in the photo and all. Who just gets knocked out cold like that? Not to mention chances are no one there would be ok with a reporter taking pictures of that during wartime.
I don`t know, I`m thinking this is purely, 100% propaganda. pictures and all. Unfortunately though this really was a different time, so sure it`s racist; but back then people were a lot more ok with that.

Opium is actually pretty interesting. But i dont really see how they can compare it to cocaine fairly. Heroin is a different story though...
