I can't tell you how many times I`ve seen this, you see this more in construction zones than anything else, and I hate it when these people -force- themselves into a gap ten inches long, in front of you, and then wave like they`re trying to be polite. At this time I get just far enough away from them for my headlights to shine right into their rear window, and then hit my brights, daytime or not.

Unfortunately I see a lot of drivers who pull this stunt - What I'd like to see is their license revoked for being the cause of unnecessary traffic jams.

hmm, i understand if it happens when you are in a rush then its your own fault, but what about when you dont know you have to turn and suddenly you figure it out and are past the end of the line of cars, i dont see whats wrong with being nice enough to let some one in, i do it myself, unless this guy looks like hes trying to beat the line...

Also if your trying to get in my lane from the left hand side and you hit me while im stopped or barely going 10 mph, 90% of the time the insurance company will fault the person who is merging into the lane,
This just happened to me a few months back, the insurance guy i talked with basically said that the guy merging is F***ed and i got paid 3500$ for a small paint scrape and dent on my 71 benz that i took care of myself. So think people before you do something like this.
