I'm a Mexican-American, but I find that pooty school`s decision offensive. The citizens of a country can be allowed to wear their country`s flag on their clothing on THEIR OWN SOIL!
I`m also an American patriot, and I`m glad I live in the US instead of Mexico, which is a sh*t country.

Cinco de Mayo is an American holiday, not a Mexican holiday. The Fifth of May is the day the Mexicans went to war, not the day they won it.
Do your research, the Mexicans don't celebrate it.

The flag itself is not being worn as apparel. The Apparel has an American Flag print.
Furthermore, if Latino students really have such a problem with anyone showing pride in this nation, they really need to reassess the reasons they're here.

I don't think the main reason these students were asked to remove their shirts has to do with the American Flag, t`s a matter of the students attempting to create a confrontation with the Latino students. They are using the American flag to generate divisiveness rather than unity.

trippyhippy9 artistic depiction of the American flag such as its representation on a t-shirt or represented on other items is not covered under the code. If the actual flag was used as say a toga, that would be a violation. It is irrelevant since the code is not law but, only regulation. Now it would be a lot more interesting if they were wearing "Don't treed on me" t-shirts but, these students have every right express their pride in their nation on any day.
