Yeah, I'm not a "deer expert" - but I think I`m gonna have to agree with Numbersup. I thought all that hoof flailing and kicking was their way of defending themselves or fighting, not playing. Although that dog is lucky that deer didn`t hurt it.

Oh god, they were feeding that little pest? Having lived on a farm most of my life I can tell you, that's not play behavior on the part of the deer. It`s trying to run the dog -- a potential threat in its eyes -- away from its food source.
