Most Americans refer to native Americans as, well, Native Americans. But we know what an aborigine is, for god's sake.

I can`t do anything about linguistic ignorance, if anyone can`t read grown-ups` words, go back to 1st grade. `Aborigine` is not an Australian word, it means `those born in a particular country` and is a part of the English language no matter what country you`re in. In Australia it means native Australians, in America it means Native Americans, in Kalamazoo it means Kalamazooians. Its not a hard word to understand.
