@gothmo about 1% of the population has problems with their thyroids, a part of those people actually gets fat. Now here's the problem: 67% of adults of 20 years and older are overweight or obese, 34% of 20+ is actually obese (stats 2005-2006 in the U.S., CDC)
I presume you are talking about duffytoler with the diabetes thing, he`s not saying you have to be fat to get diabetes, he sais that the chance is bigger to get diabetes when you are fat (type 2 diabetes).
The people you see on the pic are just criminally fat. They should not be able to buy stuff at Ronny McD`s/other fastfood chains. These people only cost money, they can`t work and they eat as much as 3 normal persons. They are just a burden on society.

I hate the people that say the chemical thing is a lie (ok the majority of the time it is their fault so I have no pity >>) but when someone eats healthy, is healthy and is just fat, then they have a real problem. and having diabetes can make you bigger/smaller, but you don't have to be fat to get diabetes, idiot.
