Another Ignorant Video Game Debate. Are violent video games corrupting kids? (Fun fact: the woman in this clip did voice acting for a violent video game!)

There shouldn't even be a debate about video games in my opinion. There should, however, be a debate about whether or not parents are doing their damn jobs. The real "moral plague" in our society isn`t media in any form, it`s the parents that REFUSE to take responsibility for, and raise their own children, and then clamor for anything, just ANYTHING that they can blame their child`s inevitable bad/antisocial behavior on.
For all the parents out there: video game companies are not a drating daycare service, nor are movie studios, nor are music labels and they are not responsible for making content that you deem suitable for your child. Do your jobs.

The level she's talking about is No Russian from Modern Warfare 2. It specifically asks you before you start the game if you wish to skip any material that deems offensive to you. AND, on THAT certain level, you can chose to skip it in the menu. Now about the level, it was made so you would see the difficulties and traumas an agent has to go through during the time of war, and again, you COULD HAVE skipped the level if you found that level of any offense.

Sorry I stopped shortly after he said Call of Duty 2. It just foreshadowed a video I would get upset with. It's call of duty 6 or modern warfare 2. not call of duty 2 modern warfare.

If all developers stop making violent games, all the "violent game players" are going to murder the game haters. Now would you want that? I don't think so.

It's the same tired argument they make against heavy metal and cartoons. Yes, they all can be influential on a young child, but that`s why we have parents.
