Don't know if anyone`s said this yet, but the Government encourage prosecutions for petty offences (drugs for example). The prison workforce makes many different products from military to office furniture. Quote "Seventeen inmates crowded in a makeshift basement factory in that facility crank out over a million dollars` worth of office chairs per year, in exchange for wages ranging from twenty cents to $1.50 per hour." This is one of the Many reason for why cannabis (a HARMLESS substance)(yes, harmless unless your Schizophrenic) is illegal. It is Perfectly fine to make prisoners work, and to profit from them; but to make people into criminals for profit, (There are privately run prisons in America). Discuss....

I'd like to see how many of these are bogus drug charges. I imagine a good amount. The US government would save a lot of money if they decriminalized marijuana I`m sure.
