You are correct that Bin Laden wasn`t originally in Afghanistan. I retract that statement. I replace it with the (debated) fact that Bin Laden funneled tons of cash into the Mujahideen during the conflict.

I find it incredulous, however, that the CIA would be independently funneling arms and cash into Afghanistan while the billionaire Bin Laden was doing the same thing. Apparently, the CIA says Bin Laden didn`t funnel cash at all. But, coincidentally, Bin Laden did JUST THAT after the Russian`s withdrew.
