The shadow of his index finger is as it would be on something flat, DESPITE it going across an edge of the model. If anybody can give me a reason why this would not be true, I would love to hear it

And the shapes are not rectangles.. but isosceles trapezoids lol.. I might be wrong.. Cause I'm looking at the grain and it doesn`t make complete sense with my idea.
