The constitution here is an amorphous mess of stuff written over the last 795 years and enforced to varying degrees at different times. Nothing has been clear about it for centuries and the original clearly defined written constitution (Magna Carta, 1215) is ludicrously obsolete in parts and was routinely ignored anyway on the basis that nobody really agreed to it (it was imposed by force, literally at swordpoint). All that's before you get into the issues of Wales, Scotland, Ireland and the United States of Europe.
