Hate to say I called it (My other post on Wed - last week)... but here we are on a Monday and whats the news? Rioting, infection, frustration and a rising death toll (according to yahoo news: 200,000) as rescue and manpower try to keep up with time as it slips away. Very sad.

@Bored2Run: My reply to auburnjunky was meant to get things strait. "3 days before ..., nobody helps ..." was just wrong.
Bored2Run: "Also, while you Wiki'd the Katrina donations from abroad to the U.S. you forgot to learn that the total of those donations didn`t meet a fraction of what the U.S. has doled out ..."
from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Development... : "United States (0.16% of GNI) and Japan (0.17% of GNI) where in fact giving least among the members of DAC." (That doesn`t cover private desaster relief donations) My point is: Don`t think that the U.S. (as a country) or U.S. citisens are the only ones who care to help and never get it back. Or let anyone propagate such nonsense. Don`t let such rants cloud your decision to help. See the real relations.
