We dissected cats before, that was a lot of fun. I always thought frogs were kinda boring. Did that one 3 times.

To answer the questions: No. No cruelty involved. Yes. Frog, Pig fetus, Cat, Owl pellet, Iguana, Chimpanzee, and a couple of people.

As someone who has cut into human flesh for the sake of education, I can say that an understanding (or at least an acknowledgement) of cells, organs, and organ systems is vital for everyone to possess and can best be provided by hands-on experience; Regardless of whether those systems belong to a frog or to a human, the lesson is that the student learns about the overall function achieved by the functions of the subunits in the body, while gaining solid problem solving, memorization, and maturity skills in the process.
