OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! I was there, i was actually there! This was held in a convention called Fanimecon in San Jose that's held usually memorial day weekend in May.
LOL it was incredibly hillarious, i think it was 2007 or 2008 when this happened. Ok so yes i`m Roman Catholic, yes I believe in Jesus, but seriously, this guy totally believes that anime " was the devil`s work". I mean yeah, i can understand protesting against something like hentai, but he just flat out denounced anime and comics and i`m like, what so God now despises art? There is a distinct difference between art and pornography mind you.
But wow, the best part is while the crowd was gathering and arguing, the Jesus cosplayer just got up on a stone pillar and just stood there trying to look holy. It was absolutely incredible.
