"Also, in Rag's link Rumsfield is quoted as saying: `I don`t know anyone in the executive branch of the government who believes that it would be appropriate or necessary to reinstitute the draft,` Rumsfeld said last month"
Oh dear lord, the nievite. Sure. . . we`ve filled up all the draft boards. Sure. . . we`ve given our intention to use them. . . Sure. . . we`d even like to extend the draft. . . But we really don`t want to, or need to, and have no reason to do anything we just did. The thing is, you`re right. You`re right about -this- political climate. It would just be to unpopular politically right now. After the election there would be no restrants from doing this. The opioin as to wether or not it would be nessacary is far more diverce then Swopes would have us belive. More then that, just because it would take two years to produce soldures dosn`t mean the system isn`t in place. Anyway.

Sorry, one more thing. This Congress.org site isn't even the "real" Congress website.
It`s: Congress.org is a service of Capitol Advantage, a private, non-partisan company that specializes in facilitating civic participation. It is powered by the award-winning CapWiz™ system.
