Show a kid turning on the bike. The gyro wheel will actually make it harder to turn as when the kid tries to rotate the wheel it will actually make the wheel 'want` to fall over instead. (It`s really the way gyroscopes work, and the reason it stays up, and subsequently spins as it falls)

But gyroscopes are fun to play with.

Step 1) while extremly young Remove pedals from bike
Step 2) Allow kid to scoot himself along and learn to balance first
Step 3) After kid has figured out the balance thing and is zooming around all over the place, add pedals.

Gal that has a family of bike nuts taught me this trick, her grandkids, 3 & 4 years old 0_0 Holy crap do they know how to ride, had no idea little 1 gear toddler bikes could go so fast
