Wow the student must have had skills to get it stuck on the tree. I mean the tree's dead and old, so the branches should snap off...

I thought he was in the plane with his hairdresser and his pilot trainer, and they were trying to scare the rest of the band in a tour bus when Randy was the piloting and the clipped the edge of the bus. Besides even if he was the passenger he could still control the plane and may have had an effect on the crash, airplanes have controls on both sides of the plane to accommodate pilots from any country.
