Offer gladly accepted. And I'm sorry your brother`s church has taken that stance. I hope your brother finds a place where he is accepted as a beloved child of God.
I`m sure I have been unclear or haven;t chosen my words as well as I could-you only get 1000 chars. to try to say something. This is a poor forum for debate and this 2-dimensional medium lends itself to misinterpretation easily.
Maybe I misread you. My brother is a homosexual and is having many struggles, including being ostracised from his own church here in Ireland.
Look, as dead as this thread is and it's only us left, maybe we got off on the wrong foot. Can I extend the olive-branch of peace? No ulterior motive intended.

Funny thing is, I never once said that anyone was going to hell in any of my posts. Assume what you will. I think your presumptions are based on your understaqnding of Christianity--which mirrors what you call the "Midwest Christian" viewpoint. I, am a fruit off a different tree. I have been to fundamental Christian churches and usually disagree with their mindset. I believe firmly that Jesus was the Christ--but the title "Christian" would not fit me because I strongly disagree with the modern Christian church. O, I get lumped into the category, but my beliefs are very different. Yes I believe parts of the Bible are accurate. NO I don;t believe it is all divinely inspired and I actually hold a lot of contempt for Paul, the self-appointed Apostle and will not hold his writings up as God's word. This places me at odds with most of Christianity today... Please don`t presume that a Christ follower is a bible-thumping right wing traditionalist evangelical Christi
