I read JUST the title "'NIGAZ` Name Sparks Racism Debate" and my first thought is hmmm I bet they`re a gas company in nigeria or niger. Only stupid people who don`t know geography would jump to conclusions like that.

No flames, CJ-boy, it's true. The educated are hailed as oreos and cast out of the black society in alot of cases. They just don`t get the publicity out there they need. Black culture should not be gangs, but that`s what it is.

How is it offensive? People say it in rap songs and day to day speech all the time. And don't give me the whole, "It`s okay for one black person to say it to another because they`re black" excuse. It`s a huge double standard in which ignorance trumps common sense and, in my opinion, a closer look needs to be taken.
If people are TRULY offended by "Nigaz", maybe they should think twice before they publicly write songs with the same word that is SO offensive in them and use it as commonly as they do in conversation. Race card, much?
I`m Native American, but I`ve not once in my life caused a stir over someone saying rude things about it (or people having absolutely no idea what Native Americans have gone through, for that matter). In my opinion, we deserve a drating month, too, but I`m not wigging out over it. Ignorance trumps common sense.

"Nigaz", "nigg rs" and "educated dark-colored individuals" are very different. nigg r educated dark-colored individuals are rather hard to find because they aren't as noisy as nigg rs and thus not as reknown. Go ahead flame me.
