Marijuana was made illegal in the first place because it attracted immigrants and caused places like California to become crowded with Mexican and Central American marijuana dealers. Congress did not like this growth in the south and west and the government paid for anti-marijuana campaigns and ads that attempted to make people believe that marijuana melts the skin and so forth. Tests by the government, however, proved that marijuana was not nearly as bad as they claimed--so they covered up the results.
Legalizing marijuana might end this economic recession with the billions of dollars it could reel in. Marijuana is more important to this country than tobacco.

>Opie Agreed, once again. Make it legal, and then maybe make loads more money on it, to stop the usage of the really dangerous drugs. Either that, or we stop being hipocritical about the damages of drugs and illegalise cigarettes, and maybe even alcohol.
What's that? Can`t the politicians take that? Oh, no, right, that`s because they are smokers and some drinkers.
