langdonhill Male, 13-17, Western US 363 Posts Thursday, May 14, 2009 4:33:21 PM Folks, I think it's important to remember that the new Star Trek is actually a prequel. Having said that, does anybody remember Jar-Jar from the Star Wars prequels? Star Trek wins. The defense rests.
Err, actually- No. The new Trek film depicts an alternate universe (or timeline rather) than the one shown in the series as Vulcan is destroyed and a bunch of people who were dead are alive and those who were alive are dead (IE Kirk`s dad) so it`s not really a prequel per-say..
and as for the video, I dunno- I`ve found that all great epic tales (Star Wars, Harry Potter, LOTR, and now Star Trek even) follow the same writing scheme.
Ah well, I really don`t give a crap as I enjoy them regardless. Where as LOTR had an epic fantasy tale, Star Trek had black holes, shiny space ships, and imploding planets.
