@ Ollie: When I saw the name Martin in the video, coupled with the fact that it's not really a jet, but a ducted fan I thought the same thing that you did. Being the nosy S.O.B. that I am, I started looking for more info, and stumbled across the Martin "Jetpack" website.
I`m guessing it won`t be long before Martin-Marietta sues them for "stealing" their name, or even tries to claim that the technology was stolen from them...

They're science fiction, always will be. You need FUEL to provide thrust, and you can`t carry enough of it to fly for more than a minute or two. The more fuel you add, the more weight, the more you need to lift you off.
