AuburnJunky, Do consider the environment of the squirrel... It doesn't live in a forest or a part of the woods were predators are common, it lives in UCLA, a college campus were human interference is actually common and is thus less devastating to the development of the squirrel as it would be in the forest, in fact the squirrels probably rely partially on left over human food for their survival

You just impeded that squirrels development by a day. He will now take longer to learn to jump, possilbly being eaten by a small woodland carnivore before he learns because now he is gonna look for bags every time he tries to climb a wall....
