Had that issue, was best friend for two years then tried to take it to the next level. Turned out we prefered being friends and needed some space to get rid of the aqward feelings but now we are as close friends as before!
I say go for it as long as your sure that even if it doesn't work out, there is a strong chance it won`t ruin it for good.

OMG that was difficult. Growing up with 4 older brothers I find guys are more fun and easy going. And I NEVER think of my friends as anything more. That`d just be weird

Its possible. I have a friend who is socially clueless,and cannot get the girl he wants. She doesn't want to do anything but be just friends, and he whines to me about it XD
