Of course, I don't use facebook or anything along those lines. I hate those kinds of sites.

I think we should start a petition (In the US anyhow) to make it so companies can't fire you for your online activities at home. It is ridiculous.

She lied to her employer to get out of work. It's like telling your boss you have cancer and then he sees you sitting in the stands at a baseball game from the TV in his office. It`s fraud.

If it was just once, then I don't see how that`s justified.
If she was doing it a bunch of times, then I can see how a warning would be appropriate, but firing, so suddenly, without warning? There must have been other problems with her, or the company is silly.

if she truly had a migraine, any light would have killed her. they were justified. if she was too sick to work around lights, she shouldn't have been checking facebook, computer or not. if she was feeling better, perhaps she should have went in late.
