aww poo i used those constantly.. there were games (doors) like legend of the red dragon and barren realms elite!! LORD was kinda like WOW in text format. fun as hell. if you had a 14.4 you were fast. if you had a 28.8 you were flying. and you'd get massive long distance phone bills if you didn`t go to a local bbs. I don`t think any dial ups exist anymore. but theres plenty of telenet (or telnet?) ones that look and act just like the ones from the days of yore.. find one off google n copy it to your address bar.
