Video isn't 100% accurate. As it has been said.
But this is a beautiful, artistic, honorific way to die. Anyone who thinks seppuku was horrid, has forgotten the miracle of how this universe came to be and is engulfed in the globalization that has taken over the old ways, of how we came to be where we are now.
I am not saying that seppuku was a key point, but a belief, that dying with honor was better than dying wealthy, in my eyes, is a million times more soothing than anything Japan does nowadays.

I heard somehwere (probably national geographic, or somesuch) that one possibility as to why samurai dissembowled themselves after defeat was to prove that their insides were not deteriorated and corrupt.
