And keep in mind that no hard drive exists that's fast enough to keep up with a high-speed digital camera. You need lots and lots of RAM.
Not that you`d really need to record something long enough to warrant a 1TB HDD. Even one second of film at 1,000,000fps would take over nine hours to play back when slowed down to a typical 30fps.
Regarding validity, there do exist cameras that are capable of 1,000,000fps. No idea what they cost, but you can bet you can`t afford one if you have to ask. It`s damn near impossible to find pricing on these things without having to email/call someone, but a measly 1,500fps (or was it 15,000?) digital camera cost something like $80,000.

Bear in mind, gosu, that these films are all far shorter than 1 second.
Needless to say, I'm impressed. Not necessarily by the video, because its simmilar to another posted here, but rather by how advanced our recording technology has become.
But, I`m gonna double check this figure of `a million` frames per second, seeing as how IAB`s link descriptions are wrong most of the time.
