diggna - Most of the time, people don't like things they don`t know, or they`re scared by them. From birth, it`s pretty much hardwired into us that humans aren`t going to harm us (the way babies learn and process information is amazing), so, instead of being afraid of what it is, if it looks human, we`ll assume it`s friendly...or at least not much of a threat. Or, that`s what I guess.

Wow, it can "look" at things. This makes dust mites more intelligent, because they at least do something constructive.
