In response to "Dubai's oil money". Dubai`s economy is 6% oil.
In response to "Dubai Racism", how about you look up "Canada Racism". Yes, putting in two words in google, gets you a result that`s an amalgamation of those words. Well done.
In response to "Who would want to visit", 2 million tourists a year actually. It makes us more money than the oil you seem to think we have.
Rape is acceptable here? Really? When here it`s the death penalty and USA it`s an average of a 3 year sentence?
We blame the victim because of 1 court case? Well then I guess Britain and Australia do too.

Why does he have to live up there? I find it hard to believe that it takes that long to get down now to make it worth it unless he is working 20 hour days or something.

Running out of oil wont reduce their wealth, they have been building up a shipping empire, with super-ports around the world with the largest in Dubai. They have also turned Dubai into a tourist hotspot. They, like Norway invested their oil wealth for the long term benefit of the country!
