GIVE HIM A BREAK HE'S ONLY 10 (or something?) I think the point was to attempt to be able feed him when you arent home. hence the INTERNET ACCESS part. with a little work, he won`t have to worry about forgetting to feed his dog when hes away.
Stop being such a bunch of criticism-nazis.

To everyone criticizing about how it's impractical or the kid is being lazy: It is a bit impractical, but if he got a bigger can, then it saves alot of time and is presumably easy to access when you`re not at home.
The kid isn`t being lazy, he took time to build it and hook up the wiring, and then made a website for it.
Lastly, he made this instead of turning his brain to cheese by playing video games 24/7.
