Lewis Caroll wrote Alice in Wonderland because his girlfriend asked him to tell her a story... And that girlfriend was 10 years old. A lucid dream may have inspired the story, but he wrote the story for his girlfriend.

Actually, the tip where they say to wake up earlier and to go back to sleep is very good. Most of the time, this WILL actually get you a vivid dream. I'm pretty sure it`s more than 30%-50% though... Or maybe it`s just me...?
