These scam artists screwed over thousands of innocent people. But some of them had balls the size of hot air balloons.

They forgot one of the biggest of all time. WAY bigger than these, second only to Madoff.

Mazhar Akhtar is a British Pakistani scam realtor who set up a million dollar office on the coast of Spain. Go here: http://www.overseaspropertymall.com/buyi...

I remember meeting him when he ran from Spain and setup an office in Dubai.

He rented the whole damn floor at the Shangri-La (yearly rent: US$ 300,000), spent another US$ 200K on the interiors. In the end, when the cops showed up at his office doors, he made security keep them busy while he exited through the fire escape, drove his Ferrari to Abu dhabi (2 hours away) and attempted to charter a flight out. Cops chased the plane off the tarmac!

Pretty decent list indeed.

Here's my two cents (wait we`re in a recession--my .09978 cents then):

I saw Benny Hinn for the first time while flipping channels one night years ago and SERIOUSLY thought it was a spoof or comedy show of some type. Once I realized it was "real" I was that much more entertained. But I`m still waiting to see a cage match with him and Satan--it has to happen, it just has to!

Frank Abignale: this man needs to go into politics, or run the Federal Reserve. They could use a few pointers on how to swindle people without looking like complete d*cks. If you`re going to rob people, it`s all about finesse and panache gentlemen, lol.

Must have been written before it became public Friday that Bernard Madoff swindled $50 Billion from investors. This is a list of lightweights by comparison.
