It only takes one decent set of wheels to really boost a film.

To put the Love Bug in the same category as the cars from Bullitt, Vanishing Point, and Mad Max is like wearing an abortion around your neck and calling it a quality cut diamond.,

"did the countach have a spoiler on the front fender as well as the back!?!?!?!"

It was an aftermarket add-on. The stock Countach didn't come with it but a lot of people added it as there wasn`t an under-fender spoiler like a lot of more modern exotics now have. You first started seeing those show up in the Ferrari`s at the time (308 and 328 thereafter) which was more obvious. It was to help keep the nose down at high speeds. Once you start pushing 160, the front end tended to lift up, so you have to have something to keep it down up there. The rear spoiler, obviously, is there for traction to push down against the rear wheels.

How do we, as a society, go from making kick ass movies like Bullitt to pieces of crap like The Fast and the Furious?

How do you go from Steve McQueen to Paul Walker?

Modern Cinema has devolved into pure drivel and PepsiCo ads. Bah!
