Honestly, I see no reason to actually go through with it. Keep it as a reminder of the past, but leave it as just that, only a reminder. I don't believe it would do anyone any good to start cloning a species that died out so long ago. Only give a few people their 15 minutes of fame.
Save the species we have now, don`t waste time cloning ones that are already gone.
