In answer to Felena's question, the wound dressing keeps the maggots in the wound. For getting them out, remember that they only feed on dead tissue, and they aren`t used on abscessed wounds, mostly things like pressure ulcers, and diabetic ulcers. All they really do is take off the dressing, irrigate the wound with saline, and use tweezers to pull the remaining ones off.
