And the reason Twilight does so well with *most* woman is that it really jumps into some major female fantasies. Edward is dangerous, but for some reason, because she is special, he doesn't hurt Bella. That feeling of being special, and being with a "dangerous" guy is something that works for a lot of women. Also, when humans were back in their hunter/gatherer stage, men were supposed to be tough and strong -- Edward is both of these and more, tapping into the most primal of all the reasons that women are attracted to men.

first of all, there WAS a black vampire. his name was laurent. and yes, laurent WAS black in the book. or at least dark skinned. it says so IN THE BOOK. read it. k thx.

Yup, black vamps.. but in the book laurent was NOT black, tho there were black vamps in the 4th book.. Can't they flipping wait till later to be politically correct? Actually portray what the book said correctly?
